Owing to the best-in-class offering, the company has consistently outperformed the industry and has grown to ~$2B AUD annual revenue through acquisitions and organic expansions.  The company is focused on initiatives to improve Total Shareholder Return, of which strengthening the procurement and supply chain function is at the highest priority in the short term.   This role will oversee the strategy, coordination, and development for all Procurement & Supply Chain agreements globally.  Scope of Agreements could include a include a mix of Administration and Corporate needs (Phones, Travel, IT, Copiers, etc), Laboratory Items (consumables, chemicals, safety supplies, gasses, etc), Capital Assets (Instruments, Vehicle Fleet), and Services (Maintenance, freight, utilities, etc).  The role directly reports to the Global Procurement & Supply Chain Director and routinely interacts with regional procurement and supply chain leaders, operations, finance, and other management personnel.

The ideal candidate will have experience in; sales, environmental consulting, an environmental regulatory agency, or laboratory with a solid knowledge of the environmental testing industry.

Will need to meet daily deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and efficient use of consumables. Will need to be a strong, positive leader for the group. Experience in or familiarity with GC/MS instrumentation required. The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision of staff members, oversee the completion, review, and approval of assigned analyses and associated quality control requirements, and manage the workflow in the department.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments and development of new methods or modifications to procedures will also be required. - Analyze air and vapor samples following EPA methodologies and laboratory SOPs. - Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner. - Analyze and report QC samples as required. - Identify and report quality problems to the supervisor or QA department. - Perform routine instrument maintenance procedures. - Assist with preparation of related sampling supplies, including but not limited to thermal desorption sorbent tubes, tube labels, pelican cases and related documentation. - Other duties as assigned.
