    General Accountability:

    The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the cleaning and preparation of glassware for use in the laboratory.

     

     

    Work Schedule: Second Shift

     

    ALS Environmental

    Responsibilities

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Will form and organize teams to achieve shift and daily work completion goals.
    • Organize the daily cleaning and preparation of various laboratory glassware.
    • Analyze and prioritize the daily needs of the departments requiring glassware.
    • Inventory glassware and cleaning reagents
    • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned and directed.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work schedules and be self-directed in completing daily assignments.
    • Requires being multi-tasked, organized, and detail oriented.
    • Have a demonstrated ability to communicate well in English, both verbal and written.
    • Desire to work in a laboratory/science setting.
    • Proven ability to learn new concepts quickly.

     

    Additional Skills Preferred:

    • An understanding of basic quality assurance parameters as they relate to the cleanliness and proper preparation of glassware used in a laboratory.

     

    Required Qualifications: 

    • High School graduate. Additional education or experience working in a laboratory setting preferred.
    • Courses in science helpful and preferred.

    Physical Demands:

    • The ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working is required.
    • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers and managers.
    • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment.
    • Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
