Overview

ALS provides a broad range of testing and analytical services to a wide variety of end markets and industries around the globe. We continue to remain at the forefront of the testing services industry, building an enviable reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and coordinates all activities related to welding procedure development
  • Performs, coordinates and ensures the execution of systems policies and procedures
  • Holds daily activity update meetings
  • Performs, audits and assists with the welding procedure Quote process
  • Performs, audits and assists with project folder development and completion
  • Reviews and advises on Client specifications as they apply to welding procedure quotes and development
  • Writes new weld procedures as needed
  • Attends industry meetings to keep the Company informed and updated about activities in the welding industry
  • Works with the technical services group to ensure the correct welding requirements and process requirements meets customer and project needs
  • Maintains a work flow process between all groups. Generates, reviews and modifies procedures as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Technical Expectations

  • Resolving and documenting all reoccuring nonconformance issues
  • Reviewing work processes and making recommendations when needed
  • Maintain daily communications and coordination with all associated work groups
  • Coordinate daily with other departments to minimize production interruptions
  • Knowledge of all applicable welding processes: GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW
  • Understanding of inspection methods: VT, RT, PT, UT, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply client specifications as they relate to welding procedures

 

Performance Expectations

  • Capable of operating and interfacing with all supervision and management personnel in a positive manner
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to effectively manager and perform multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adopt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attitude
