With the support of the wider Quality & HSE teams, The QHSE Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with OHS legislation, regulations and Company Policies and Procedures.

  • Proactively support Managers in achieving KPI measurements through ensuring Company quality requirements and objectives are understood and systems are in place and are proactively maintained.
  • Conduct internal system audits in accordance with the audit schedule, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems and ISO 17025 on each business annually and communicate findings (positive and negative) with the business managers.
  • Ensure all quality incidents and actions are recorded in accordance with Company procedures and the QIs are closed within appropriate timeframes.
  • Coordinate and compile monthly safety, health, environmental and Quality statistics and prepare a monthly report.
  • Promote and reinforce a positive safety culture across the Site.
  • Act as the internal and external point of contact on all QHSE matters.
  • Coordinate incident investigation and develop corrective actions in conjunction with the Business Manager.
  • Support bidding / quotation process by providing necessary QHSE information.



  • Experience with Quality & Safety systems with particular exposure to the type of work conducted by ALS Industrial.
  • An understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 quality systems and requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • General knowledge of health and safety legislation and standards.
  • Background in energy resources or infrastructure sector.
  • Experience in incident investigations, risk assessments and auditing.
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound MS word and Excel skills.
