Overview

ALS provides a broad range of testing and analytical services to a wide variety of end markets and industries around the globe. We continue to remain at the forefront of the testing services industry, building an enviable reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Client Services/Marketing Group and Operations;
  • Answers and responds to client phone calls;
  • First pass response to client inquiries regarding: quotations, Webtrieve, analytical results, changes to client distribution lists, changes to client account information and general information;
  • Ensures all client inquiries have been responded to and followed up with;
  • Maintains client contact information in GEMS;
  • Maintains close liaison with supervisors and other lab staff to ensure the smooth delivery of our services to clients;
  • Identifies and resolves internal and external problems when they arise;
  • Proper and timely follow-up of client enquiries or requests;
  • Greet all internal and external customers courteously, determine their needs, and direct them to the proper person;
  • Maintain a positive work environment through active team participation and a focus on quality customer service;
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies
  • and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent command of the English language;
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, specifically MS Word and Excel;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people professionally;
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks;
  • Ability to work to achieve deadlines with strong time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision;
  • Demonstrates judgment, creativity, integrity and ability to problem solve;
  • A confident, personable, people-oriented personality.
  • Experience in mineral exploration, a laboratory setting, or a related service industry preferred;
  • Previous customer service experience required.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time;
  • Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks such as using the keyboard.
