Responsibilities

About the Position:

The National PFAS Technical Lead will strengthen and promote our PFAS capabilities and services in partnership with a national peer group of site PFAS Leads, Technical Managers, Regional Managers, Laboratory Directors & Client Services Managers across our USA business and act as a liaison between the market and ALS labs.

 

 The National PFAS Technical Lead, USA is responsible for leading ALS’s market position related to technical aspects of retention and growth of PFAS services and offerings in USA.  The focus of the role will be as follows: 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Work with Technical Leads at each USA PFAS laboratory…
  • Prioritize the practical determination and homogenization of methods…
  • To ensure all duties are performed in accordance with ALS quality procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Internal Partnerships

  • Work with Technical Leads at each PFAS laboratory and Client Service Managers…
  • Work with laboratories to complete PFAS site assessments…
  • Report agreed KPI’s (Revenue, TAT and sample counts)…
  • Develop and conduct training sessions…
  • Compile and maintain up-to-date information about federal and state PFAS regulations…
  • Engage with other regional PFAS Technical leads and global PFAS lead.
  • Work with Operations to develop new methods…
  • Partnership with Technical Manager, Laboratory Directors & Senior Laboratory Staff…
  • Conduct team briefings and internal learning sessions…
  • Complete an annual SWOT assessment…

External Partnerships- 6-12 Month Targets

  • Liaison with regulators, committees, government policy makers…
  • Create an annual plan (updated quarterly as required)…
  • Supporting Project Managers and Sales personnel…
  • Coordinate approach and execution of technical research partnership opportunities…
  • Evaluate vendor relationships and work with Procurement…

Market Share Growth

  • Client Engagement – Engage with key people within the USA PFAS industry…
  • Thought Leadership – Key participation in the formulation of PFAS marketing strategy…
  • Internal Engagement – Partnership with Regional Managers, Laboratory Directors…
  • Market knowledge – Forecast PFAS market trends…
  • Competitor activity – Monitor competitor activity…

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Chemistry
  • Established specialist PFAS experience obtained in testing, consulting, academic or research fields.
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally as required

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift (with both hands) and/ or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move heavier loads with assistance
  • Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop, and crouch up to 50% of the time while performing the duties of this position
  • M-F, 8-5, anchored to a location with hybrid work schedule
