About the role:

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounts receivable tasks, assisting with AR-related general accounting duties, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

About you:

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Manage AR projects to improve collections efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance reporting accuracy
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and support documentation
  • Prepare bank deposits and perform bank reconciliations
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices and payments
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation when requested
  • Support general accounting tasks including data entry, expense reports, and filing
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing issues

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Experience managing or participating in process improvement projects
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and automated billing tools
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (bachelor’s preferred)
  • 3 years + of relevant experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands:

    • The ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working; 
    • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers and managers;
    • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment and handle glassware;
    • Must have average vision and able to see to read labels;
    • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
