About the role:

 

The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for will be responsible for organizing and coordinating glassware in the laboratory.

 

Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Responsibilities

About you:

  • Wash, organize and coordinate glassware in Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, shelves, temperature-controlled units and all surrounding areas.
  • Clean and sanitize Sterility clean room suite.
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing all other areas of the company as needed.
  • Follow cGDP and cGMPs to ensure adherence to FDA, ICH and DEA government regulations.
  • Work with laboratory staff as needed.
  • Maintain your own in laboratory notebooks according to cGMP and internal guidelines.
  • Maintain an understanding of and ensures compliance to Quality System including the manual, system procedures (cGMPs and cGDPs) and procedures as applicable to ISO 9001.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
  • Exercise Laboratory safety practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 to 1 years of Laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to effectively perform duties under pressures arising from large sample volumes and short turn around times.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instruction and work in a face paced environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch up to 80% of the time while performing the duties of this position.
  • Position may require the lifting of items up to 25 lb in weight.
  • May require weekend rotations as needed.
